About The Firm

David Tamman represents private equity funds, businesses, and individuals, managing a wide array of corporate, transactional, and intellectual property matters. He has acted as lead counsel in dozens of private equity investments and M&A transactions. He regularly represents clients in both buy-side and sell-side transactions, and his extensive experience enables him to guide, structure, and close M&A deals efficiently and effectively.

David advises private equity clients through the full spectrum of transactions from initial investment through exit. He has worked with many private equity clients for decades, obtaining an immersive knowledge of each client’s strategy and anticipating their needs.

David also serves as outside general counsel for numerous companies, assisting them with everything from day-to-day business transactions to multinational strategic alliance transactions, including technology and distribution partnerships and joint ventures.

David’s emerging company practice advises clients from formation, including raising venture or growth capital; to drafting key commercial agreements to fuel growth, retain talent, and protect and enhance intellectual property; through M&A or other exit transaction.

Prior to starting his own firm, David worked in the corporate and transactional departments of several large international law firms, most recently serving as equity partner at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

“I was introduced to David in 2003 . . . I was quickly impressed with [his] work ethic, attention to detail, and creativity when solving problems. As a result of this positive first impression, we began to utilize David on the vast majority of our transactions . . . Throughout this period, I was the primary point person within our firm working with David.” - New York Private Equity Fund Managing Partner.
